Insurance-covered implants
coverage criteria Q&A

  • Q1

Is an implant still covered if the prosthetic material is gold?

No, insurance does not apply when a dental implant is made with gold (or metal, zirconia, PFG and the like) as the prosthetic material

  • Q2

Are additional procedures for a dental implant, such as bone grafting, covered?

No, additional procedures carried out for a dental implant are not covered by insurance.

  • Q3

I already had a partial denture under National Health Insurance. Can an implant be covered too?

Yes, patients whose partial denture was covered by insurance can still have an implant covered.

  • Q4

I took out private dental insurance myself. Can I claim for an implant?

Private policies you take out yourself differ from insurer to insurer in what they cover, so this needs to be checked. We at D-day Dental Clinic will go through it with you carefully before treatment,
so that bone grafting as well as the implant itself can be claimed where your policy allows.
