Gum contouring
"Does it bother you how much gum shows when you smile?"
Gum contouring evens out the gum line,
so you can smile without thinking about it.
The procedure itself takes around 30 minutes.

"So much gum shows when I smile that I cover my mouth."
You will not need to cover your mouth
to smile openly.
Are you holding back on
veneers because of how much
tooth has to be reduced?
Many people want to improve the shape, color and alignment of their teeth
with veneers, and hesitate mainly because of the amount of tooth reduction.
We take that concern seriously at D-day Dental Clinic,
so no-prep veneers are also planned to look natural and feel unobtrusive.
Types of gum contouring
Anterior gum contouring
When the gum length makes the teeth look short, when a lot of gum shows on smiling (gummy smile),
or when the gum line is uneven, most of these esthetic concerns can be addressed with a straightforward gum contouring procedure.

step 03
Posterior gum contouring
When the gum around the molars grows over the spaces between the teeth, cleaning becomes difficult.
Lowering the gum line in those cases makes the area easier to clean, which helps keep the gums healthy.

Gum depigmentation
"Do your gums look dark because of heavy pigmentation?"
Gum depigmentation removes the pigmented layer of the gum
from the outer surface inward, reducing the discoloration.
It is a short procedure, and the gums can look lighter in tone afterward.

Do dark, blotchy gums keep you
from smiling openly?
Gums that are unusually dark can be a real source of stress.
Some people become self-conscious and hold back around others.
Gum depigmentation can reduce that pigmentation,
so you can feel more at ease and smile more freely.
Why do gums become pigmented?
Pigmentation comes from an excess deposit of melanocytes, the cells that produce pigment.
Melanocytes can build up because of inherited factors, or because of smoking and UV light, which activate the cells.
